Double and take is correct. Backgames with timing and a homeboard, which isn't beyond repair, will have very good winning chances. Gammons are a huge factor. And the structure. The board from white is not so good, but if we fiddle a little bit with the position and put the checker on the ace point and the 3 point a few pips back, soon we have no double and take. On the other side, the phantom gap on the five point is a serious drawback. If we put a checker from the ace or 7 point to the five point, we have a big double and a clear pass. Here we can apply a word from Nimzowitsch, that "both sides are standing so bad, that it is not sure, who will lose."
