JOE: Excellent History Lesson

I should have responded to this post earlier.
"What the bots did for the most part, was kill off big money games and props. Many high-stakes players that liked to gamble and thought they were very unlucky found out they were just bad. They could no longer delude themselves."
"While it was primarily a gambling game before, it is a much more intellectual pursuit now."
This was very informative. As a new backgammon player for the last six years online, I did not know this history. I have always believed that if backgammon could become much more of a gambling game that its popularity could increase. But, I do not see any signs that this will happen.
Joe, please respond so that I know that you received my late thank you for an educational post.
Stanley
