Join the USBGF - Be a good backgammon citizen.

This is an impressive list of benefits of joining, but I believe the MOST IMPORTANT REASON to join is that this is the best thing we have going for us to grow the game at all levels of play.

Prior to the USBGF we haven't had an organized group with a plan to promote the game and bring in new players, and already much has been done in this area. It is also the best hope to bring in future sponsors to make tournaments more profitable and exciting.

If you want to see more new faces in the game; if you want to have more people at tournaments 5 and 10 years from now; the USBGF is our best hope.

I also want to add another reason to join. We owe it to people like Rich, Perry, Harvey, Karen and the others who are giving so much of their time and effort on all of our behalf to give them our support by joining and by volunteering to help in the many areas where we can actively become involved. They shouldn't be begging for support, we should all be enthusiastically behind them.
