Impact of Jacoby rule on checker play

In Response To: Impact of Jacoby rule on checker play (Daniel Murphy)

I'm getting the same Gnubg-analyzed best play (agreeing with these) with Jacoby OFF and ON. Maybe there's something kludgy I'm overlooking.

The problem is that the Jacoby rule's status is not in the Id, so if you do something like : paste Id, hint, change Jacoby, hint, the last command doesn't re-analyze the position since it is the same than before.

After changing the Jacoby rule, you would have to do something to change the position (edit it and remove a checker for instance), which would clear the analysis, and then paste the Id again.
