Knowing when you have an underdog redouble?

"Does anyone have any kind of rule of thumb to at least recognize when you are at one of these underdog redoubling scores? (I suppose there are underdog initial double situations as well.) "
Ideally you would already know the doubling window. If it opens very low, for example at 31% if you are losing 3 away 4 away and hold a 2 cube, doubles as dog are possible.
"And what kind of positions you should have to execute such a redouble?"
Those that are in the window and have a lot of volatility.
