In Response To: A true test of Backgammon Skill (phil simborg)

This sounds interesting, but so different from BG that I would not call it BG. I think it would be more fun to deal the domino tiles randomly (more variation). For the doubles, you can play them after the 4th move, is that 2+2 or 4+4? I am never sure whether 'move' is a ply or a play by both players.
