The probability of choosing 1.0 from [0,1] may be 0, but the probability of choosing 1.0 is also the same as the probability of choosing any other number. Whatever number gets chosen, the ex ante probability of choosing that number was 0. Having said that, I'm not sure where this line of logic leads us.

I accept that it is not possible for a random walk to infinitely repeat. It is an extremely counterintuitive point, but I saw the proof long ago.
