The probability of choosing 1.0 from [0,1] may be 0, but the probability of choosing 1.0 is also the same as the probability of choosing any other number. Whatever number gets chosen, the ex ante probability of choosing that number was 0. Having said that, I'm not sure where this line of logic leads us.
It leads us to conclude that just because the probability of an event is zero doesn't mean it can't happen.
