I think, this cuts down to this:

First, running from the anchor is clear. We are likely to squeezed of, when the board from black is a weapon, if we sit on the golden point. If we compare the both front poitions and additional our lead in the race which means less playability in the future, breaking the anchor is clear. Now is the hour ( by the way, do you know Charlie Haden? :) ) .

a) 20/15 7/3 to make the board strong for the exchange of hits, which will follows. But black is already outboarded, so

b) 20/16, 20/15. If we are hit, we are hit in the outfield. No additional piece in the board. Even if black hit and cleans up, a shot in the outfield. If we go away with this, we are in good shape to leave black in a bad holding game which can be won easily with the cube.

A rollout can show that i am wrong, but my understanding of the position leaves to move b).
