I still like 8/2*, and not because the rollout isn't long enough (which it isn't). In games won, your XG rollout is nearly identical to a shorter Gnubg 2-ply rollout -- 76.77% and 74.28% vs. 76.77% and 74.29%. But in the Gnubg rollout 13/7 actually was winning more gammons, too, with 13/7.

The position is yet another good one to play out against the bot, to get a better idea of both how the bot plays and how a human should play it.
