Computer Game Play at Tourneys

Thanks for informing me about the 3 loss requirement before elimination. Does this apply to the Open division? Does this apply to Jackpots? I previously mentioned on this forum that I attempted to play in the Midwest Open for two straight years in Chicago. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so because the divison was already filled even though I registered 4 and 6 weeks in advance.
"I'm afraid you have a small case of contempt prior to investigation. Schedule an ABT weekend geographically easy for you, and I predict you will have fun."
That is not entirely true. I admit that I did not know about the three loss requirement. But this is not due to a lack of effort. I simply did not register in time for the Open. As far as having fun at an ABT tournament, I obviously failed to properly present my concerns. I had an excellent time at the two tourneys that I attended. Meeting fellow GammonOnline and BGOnline members were a highlight of the tournament. It was especially pleasant to meet you Gregg who I consider my first backgammon teacher. Also, I tried to emphasize my enthusiasm for the Blitz format. If you lose at a Blitz, it is wonderful to quickly register for the next Blitz. Playing Trice, Munitz, and Bower was exciting. My post did not clarify that I have attended two tournaments and loved them.
Nevertheless, the number of events which interest me are less than desired. The Open and Blitz are very compelling. Two point quickies are not for somebody like me who detests cubeless backgammon. The Crystal Beaver is a stimulating event which I could truly enjoy. It is just a bit expensive for me. But this type of real backgammon challenge is excellent for tournaments. I respect this event, even though I am too cheap to play in it. It is not true that I have "...contempt...prior to investigation...". There is no contempt because I loved the tourneys. There is investigation because I played in two tourneys. There was incomplete knowledge of the three loss requirement. Also, I wish there were more events which interest me.
