If opponent rolls first(61) and plays 61(with the obvious way), then what is our best respond if we roll 21?
61P-21
13-11 6-5 or 13-11 24-23 ?
All these in a 5-point match, with the score at 0-0 (cube in the middle of course).Welcome to the forum, George!
Assuming you stay around (which I hope you do), you can more quickly type your question like this:
61P-21 at 𤃃?
Here is an introduction to that shorthand.
For money, $ (Slot, 13/11 6/5) beats S (Split, 24/23 13/11) by .020, .028 or .023, according to rollouts on Snowie, GnuBG and XG 3-ply, respectively; in other words, about 1/40 of a point per game. It should be about the same at the 𤃃 (needs 5, needs 5) score.
Here are various charts listing all best replies (second roll plays) according to the GnuBG rollouts on this site (see Stick's post below if you want to navigate to individual rollouts).
Hope that helps.
