Congrats to Mary! I won't discuss my own hallucinations, including misevaluating a 1.5% GWC as 8%. But I do wonder about the low turnout. Of the 18 entrants in the Open, six were from the DC/Baltimore area. The venue, while not so convenient to BWI is nonetheless centrally located on the East Coast, and the remodeled hotel is one of the more pleasant spots to play. Maybe too many days for the tournament? Certainly, the main event can be held in two days, even with fields of 64. I'm sure no one would complain if they had to play late night matches, etc. Thanks to Chiva for organizing.
