Like I said....

People want to be well-rested. People want to be able to make time for hanging out with friends. People want to have time to see whatīs going on in the beighborhood and the area. People want to have enough time for a decent dinner break. People want to avoid playing late night. People want to avoid to play early morning. People want an event to run smooth and on schedule. People want to take off on Sunday no later than 6 pm. People want a lot of action. People want to play with clocks. People want to play without clocks. People want a lot of playing action. People want long matches. People want short matches.

Here are the facts from MD: At no point, anyone had to play after midnight. At no point, anyone hat to play outside of the scheduled tournament hours or to play before the resuming times announced. There was dinner break of 2 hours every day. There was enough side-action for those who wanted them (Doubles, Stop-pots, Jackpots, Board Challenge). There was enough time for other activities for those who wanted to socialize rather than to play. The whole show ended on Sunday no later than 6 pm. Clocks were mandatory (and enforced) as announced in Masters Jackpot, Championship and Doubles. Challenging match lengths were offered (15/17/19 in Main, 11/13/15 in Conso).

There is a French saying that can be translated like.... People want the cheese, the cow and the farmerīs wife... :)
