... temperature map ... How do I access?
If you press Ctrl and H before the dice have been rolled and the player on roll has access to the cube, a window will display gnubg's evaluation of the cubeaction using whatever setting you have set for the "Hint" function. In the opened window, there is a button marked "Temp. Map". Pressing this will open a new window with the temperature maps for the position with each of the two possible cube locations.
If you press Ctrl and H after the dice have been rolled/set, the window being opened will contain a move list for the roll. Now, by holding Ctrl down while clicking those moves you are interested in to activate them and afterwards clicking the "Temp. Map" button, a window with a temperature map for each of the selected moves will appear. You can also choose moves by holding Shift down and using the arrow-up and arrow-down keys. This will select all moves in the list from the first you activate to the last you activate.
Rather than use Hint, you can also use "Analyze move" in the menu "Analyze". But, at least in my version of gnubg, it is easier using Hint, as there is a keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-H, for that.
If you have "Command" toggled in the submenu "Panels" in the menu "View" you can enter "show temperaturemap =cube" in the command panel to get the same effect before the dice are rolled.
