Yes, the data is relational.

Players play matches that belong to brackets which belong to events which belong to tournaments.

But at the moment, we would be as challenged to determine which players were "local" as Joe.

In the future, if we can join the stats database with the membership database, we would potentially be able to relate many players to location of residence, or an affiliated local backgammon club.

But do we really need that? Joe's assessment that there were many locals in attendence seemed spot on.

I would guess that we could also judge the local attendance by comparing the size of the Open field with the size of the Intermediate and Beginner fields at a tournament.
