Opening position with player on roll owning cube

If true, that would greatly surprise me. The positions we are used to seeing comprise a very small percentage of legally reachable positions, most of which are riddled with blots and highly disorganized.

Tim's statement would surprise me too. It's hard to imagine all those positions with blots strewn randomly could actually be part of a plan to win the game. These types of positions have many choices of moves on every roll and I think it would be hard for the dice gods to force play to particular positions.

But who knows?
