Why so much effort on the openings?

I am going to venture a guess and say XG would not at *present* support CPU's that are on a separate bus (IE Blade systems). I anticipate this would happen at some point. Last year I happened to mention to Neil Kaz to ask Xavier if XG would eventually have distributed processing so that separate machines (or buses) could take on the work in parallel. Imagine XG running on hundreds of PC's on the same problem. Similar in nature to SETI@Home etc. Blade systems are great for environments that are using Virtualization or where the software is designed to be distributed (OpenMP based software as an example).
