In Response To: H.R. 2267 (somewhat OT) (Steve Mellen)

HR 2267 will not pass the House or Senate this Congress. The legislation only passed the House Financial Services Committee and is still pending in the House Judiciary Committee.

If the Republicans take control of the House in the upcoming elections, then it would be a big challenge to pass in the next congress as well. We may have to wait until government needs the tax revenues it could get badly enough to pass legislation like HR 2267.
