Right, so you may be leaving fly shots for quite a few turns.

I'm guessing that after 18-15, 18-13, hits with an eight, dance brings a strong redouble. Whereas a sequence like 18-10, hits with 53, dance may not be enough to recube since there isn't an extra blot.

If the four was covered and I faced a five point board, I'll bet I would have seen the "safer" play.
