Is there a good argument for not letting a single person enter as a team in a doubles tournament ?

It seems to me, that everybody associated with the tournament gains from this. Unless you have me as a partner, I would intuitively think that in most cases, a team of two has a good chance of playing at least as strongly as the strongest player, when the level of the players is above a certain point. Hence, the other couples wont complain. Theres extra money in the prizepool, a tiny bit more registry for the working TD and staff , and someone who couldnt otherwise play in the tournament, gets to play.
