Doubles

I am happy that both Stick and Joe Russell both seem to share my feeling that the stronger player can be brought down a little by the weaker one.

Certain players must also feel this otherwise they would not have a partner with no clue or even no partner at all.

I decided to check the rules of tennis as that's what came to mind when thinking of other sports/games that have doubles. There one player can not play alone in doubles (probably be pretty useless, anyway).

As I was thinking of tennis, the idea of serving alternately to each opponent came to mind. So, if we wanted a genuine doubles tournament, Player 1 of Team A could play Player 1 of Team B in the first game. Then A2 v B2, A1 v B2 and so on. Each game would be non-consulting. What do people think of this?
