I'd also play 13/8 OTB. Moving the back checker looks anti-thematic. But 13/10 6/4 and 8/5 6/4 are worth considering. We'd like to build a board quickly and these moves will do so more quickly than 13/8 will. However, we're going to have to bring more material to the front lines in any case to build a board, so the patient 13/8 looks better to me. 13/10 6/4 is my second choice.
