I reply.. OK 1) Brent Cohen while not a Giant is a Champ level player who has had quite good recent results...ie better than mine lately.

2) Betty Coppic is a strong intermediate (advanced) level player and believe me when we do play, we discuss things and our voices likely can be heard outside the playing room.

3) Wendy Kaplan is also a Champ level player and when more active was certainly one of the best US female players. We certainly discuss the positions when we play.

4) Rebecca Thrussell.. hmm we won in LA and OK it was me making all the decisions but giving her a lesson while we played, this certainly slowed things more than if I'd played alone, but also is distracting to me, and beneficial to the opps, many of whom actually used more discussion time than we did. I'll admit that when we got to the critical game that went on for at least 30 minutes, I told her that I'd not say much for a while and that my plays would look very strange to her. The opps had a super backgame with the 4 and 3 pt behind my 5 to 8 pt fourprime. They'd made the 9 pt as a bridge and my plans for MANY turns revolved around how to squeeze them off the 9 pt so I could make it and prime them and crack their board. All this happened and they were G'd.
