position NOT from the French Open

22/13 is the play I'd instinctively make, racing while ahead in the race and taking the opportunity to leap the prime. What alternatives are there? 22/17 7/3 covers the home-board blot and threatens White's other blot, but it leaves significantly more return shots so it doesn't look right. 8/4 8/3 is safer on the surface, but the rear checker remains a serious liability. The only other plan I see is to attack with something like 13/9 8/3. This looks like overreaching, though. I still play 22/13. If White doesn't hit then we have a strong advantage, and if White does hit then we are not too much worse than before, with only one checker back.
