There was also a big robbery at a Chicago tournament run by JoAnn Feinstein about 10 years ago.

There are many reasons not to mention prize money including gambling laws, IRS, the negativity of the gambling aspects to parents, the negativity of the gambling aspects to those who simply don't like gambling, the negativity to attracting sponsors who might not want their names associated with an illegal activity, and attracting a bad element (as we know, currently backgammon has no bad elements).

On the other side of the coin, is there anyone here on this blog that doesn't know or think about the money? Is this different than publicizing the money on the brochure?
