google US Open pool tournament and examine the payout structure based on 256 entrants (actual 235). They pay 96 places. That is common for a pool tournament. Posting wins is another "tool" available to push up the attendance. Increased attendance is needed in BG. Go to AZ Billiards and see the annual winings of all the top pool players by year. Another "tool". Sometimes it seems as if BG lags other sporting events.
