Well, 6/1* 10/8 is my play. 20/13* is the obvious play but every time I break the golden anchor in a position like this I seem to get dinged hard. The anchor is our best asset and hitting doesn't seem to gain all that much.

I learned a valuable rule of thumb from Chase, who used to post here regularly but who seems to have disappeared: When you're playing against an anchor and a guard and you roll something awkward, then hit the guard. Getting rid of that guard has more value than most people seem to think. Having rejected 20/13*, I think every other play is awkward. So I hit 6/1*. Then I lift 10/8 because there's nothing better to do with the ace. 24/22 and 8/6 don't do much while 10/8 at least cleans up a blot.

Something like this seems to come up for me about once every month or two and hitting the guard tops the rollout a large percentage of the time.
