Rollout is taking awhile... not ready yet

Stick, when you say "I" do you mean "I, Stick Rice" or do you mean the generic "I"? I've looked at several of the backgame rollouts posted here on BGO where you've weighed in with your opinion, and usually the bots have corroborated your opinion (I should say that I'm excluding superbackgames with more than 6 checkers back). This position in particular doesn't seem too extreme and I might even quibble about calling it a "backgame." My expectation therefore is that the rollout will confirm your comments that hitting is clearly wrong and 24/18 is right. Now maybe the exact ordering of close plays is wrong, and shouldn't be taken too seriously. However, given that caveat, it seems that the rollout will provide useful information for most players. The rollout may not be useful to you in particular because you're already confident of the approximate evaluation of the position and the bots don't give you any more precise information that you'd trust. But that's different from saying that others are wasting time doing rollouts of backgames, particularly when they're unable to get world-class human commentary on specific positions of interest.
It's only if the bot rollouts are wildly off that they aren't useful to most of us. We know of course that bots can't roll primes reliably all the way around the board, etc. But do you think that XG's rollout will be wildly off here? I would think it would be O.K.
