OT -- College Football

I have discovered one additional point about this year's BCS bowl games. Let's say all four undefeated teams win out and Oregon plays Auburn (God forbid) in the BCS Championship game. Then the Rose Bowl (having lost the Pac-10 Champion) is obligated under BCS rules to take a non-BCS conference qualifier. So, if TCU is still ranked #3 and Boise State is still ranked #4, then TCU would play the Big-10 champion in the Rose Bowl -- what a mismatch and slaughter that would be. And Boise State, if selected, -- the BCS only HAS to take one non-BCS school but would probably take Boise State at #4 -- would then play some other major conference school. Again, another likely mismatch and slaughter.
So, the BCS major conferences cannot avoid having to play TCU and/or Boise State; unlike last year where they paired them together in a BCS bowl so no major BCS conferences would have to be embarrassed by them.
Whatever one thinks of TCU and Boise State these facts will make the BCS bowls all the more interesting this year.
