Who is the better BG player: the one who has the lowest error rate, or the one who somehow maximizes the difference between his errror rate and that of his opponent?

It's interesting you say: "but before learning such an esoteric approach, i think, it is better, to work on your basics. Jacobs/Trice is a loaded weapon. You can easily hurt yourself. "
Comes back to the original question whether the players who strictly play low PR/ER should start considering adapting their play when they meet a significantly weaker player. They are good enough to have a low PR, therefore they should be able to adapt to a large difference in relative playing strength.
