Who is the better BG player: the one who has the lowest error rate, or the one who somehow maximizes the difference between his errror rate and that of his opponent?

I agree. I also remember that falafel had a cold streak a few years ago before going on a hot streak. Also people remember only wins, not cashes, for the most part. Anyway my observation over time is that people who has the most consistent results tend to be the people who have the lowest ERs.
