Hey you're right, I didn't notice that the exported image reversed the colors; my bad.

You're right in saying that the blot is important. If that checker is on the six point then its also a good possible attacker/builder and the defender would have more numbers to correctly hit.

But put that checker in a place that does not aim at an inner board point and the bolder play should always be considered against any kind of three-point board (although it could be a tossup).

Needless to say, give the defender only a two-point board, even without the blot, and it's a blunder not to play 13/9 8/6.

Basically, if you're having timing and playability problems against itching-to-hit-anchors you have to consider a bold play while the defender's front position is still weak.

Hopefully we both learned something from this position :o)
