I'd make the outside point with 13/9 11/9. My guess is that your play is to make the 4pt, and that's what I did when I had a similar position some time ago. Inner board points are better than outer board points, right? But here, Black is playing against a bar-point holding game and Black has a slight race lead. Black would prefer to just get past Yellow safely, and is not interested in attacking Yellow (unless Yellow rashly breaks anchor prematurely). Yellow is the one who wants to hit a shot (or zoom past with lucky big doublets). Clearing the midpoint therefore has higher priority for Black than making a home-board point. The midpoint is opposed by two enemy points and is Black's danger spot.
