Kamikaze plays...

I thought of one more criterion - your opponent. A kamikaze play often results in difficult choices for your opponent, so may be more correct against a weaker opponent.

Against a 6 prime, I would only consider a kamikaze play if I'd be playing a badly time 1-2 backgame, or a single anchor game where I'd want to create the second anchor.
