Kamikaze plays... does this qualify?

I'd play dull here. Either 10/9*(2) 5/4*(2) or perhaps 10/9(2) 5/4*/3. But probably the first. We can win this as a prime vs prime, and the kamikaze play jacks up gammon losses. If the kamikaze play is right, it is not because of the recycling feature of the kamikaze play, but because it knocks opponent away from the edge of the prime while keeping 5 in a row; in that sense it would be a prime vs prime play (if a bit unusual).
