I have read all the posts about the Senior division. I am a little surprised that some people feel this is not needed or fair. As backgammon is a mental not physical game. That being said, I find it interesting, that the final table of the world series of poker, the last two years was made up of 21-28 year old's. This show's obviously that there is a physical aspect to game playing at a high level. A table of nine twenty somethings two years in a row speaks volumes physical factor. They don't the experience of most of the players in the tournament, yet they prevail year after year. So to have division for players over a certain age seems only fair. As those of us at this point in life, find playing in the main event, jackpots, blitz's etc. take a toll. So it is nice to have one event, where we perhaps we don't have to battle the young lions, with there endless energy. This doesn't mean those of us over 60 can't win the main event, as proven in Vegas this week by Fred,an Mike Corbett last year in Vegas.
