John showed me this in Vegas. At the time, I commented that I thought the high gammon price at score was key and thought that one of the two hitting plays would be correct, ultimately settling on the pure play making the 4 point and hitting loose. I would not have hesitated to make the 9 point for money or at most match scores. So I don't agree that the features of the position call for blitzing. The score calls for blitzing. I was left with serious doubts when I found out that John and it seemed that everyone else polled liked making the 9 point.
