I agree with Paul here.

There is a difference between having lots of features and ease/intuitiveness of use. Sure, you can do many things with GNU that you can't do with XG (command line interface as stated). But that's not what user friendly means to most people. My experience was that figuring out how to use XG effectively was much easier than figuring out GNU. A test of user friendliness is how often you need to consult documentation or a tutorial to figure something out. Good documentation is a treatment, not a cure for poor usability.
