Agreed...but if XGR+ (John's opp here) plays 4 PR worse than you do, you really are a stronger player than you're given credit for :).

However, when you lose this game to Mr Fishy, he is at Crawford and can no longer make a cube error (well probably not) so all that matters is the difference in your checker play PR's. I've honestly had someone drop this sort of cube vs me online, believe it or not, and yes she was about 400 Elo weker than me at SHG. Of course that doesn't mean that you should cube the lowest range of players in a typical ABT Open event.

Re: Unequal MET. A few months ago, I started, with David's help, work on an unequal MET using noise to dumb down GNU 0-ply and playing vs 2 ply. But there were lots of RO's to do when compared to an equal strength MET and I felt that I'd started with too large a playing strength difference so I stopped to put more effort into XG2 training etc.

Will I redo R/K when XG2 comes out, or prior to release? I doubt it, but if the whole process was automated for me, by that great programmer known as Xavier, I might, if it would only take a month or so RO time, noting that XG is at least 3 times as fast as GNU. At some point, it would be interesting to do this.

More interesting would be to RO an unequal MET using something like XG 3 ply vs XG 1 ply but that playing strength difference is clearly less than 100 Elo. I'd need this automated or I'd fear I'd make a mistake in the table construction. However, David is MUCH better at that stuff than I.

An unequal MET with 3 ply vs 1 ply would also allow us to RO decisions using 3 ply vs 1 ply and that MET. This will be instructive. Please don't expect work on this prior to XG2 release, but perhaps afterwards.
