You can't escape the checker on the 24 and you can't make another blocking point in front of his anchor. You can make the three point, but to do so you you'll need to either leave the entering checker on the 20 subject to a triple shot or leave a direct shot on the eight. That's a lot of risk for a point that's not in contention and doesn't really help your position.

I'd just go "round the world": bar/5. This slots a valuable point and (I think) leaves the minimum of shots. He'll have to abandon his anchor to hit, so hitting isn't free.
