To get the most speed out of GNU

Settings, options, other and set cache to max 168MB and set the proper number of eval threads used by your computer. Then save settings. Note that if your chip is HT, that doubles the number of effective threads so set GNU to use that many, although the extra threads from HT aren't as effected as full added cores. For example, an i3 chip is dual core HT so set 4 threads.
Had I not realized that GNU had been programmed for multiple cores and had I not realized that my work computer back then had 8 cores (dual Xeon quads) we'd not have completed the R/K MET nearly as fast! Thx to Michael Petch for showing me how fast GNU ran on his supercomp.
