Can white take? I don't think so. Can the game turn around with one bad sequence for blue? Yes, but there are very few.

If it's a cash now, it'll probably be a cash next roll. With three checkers back and a fourth blot hanging around there are gammons about, so I say roll. If I pick up the other blot I play on for gammon. Otherwise I think about cashing.

We're four out of 36 to pick up the blot and only 2/36 to roll an airball. That's the magic factor of twice as many gammons as losses for playing on, although here we need slightly less than a factor of two due to the match score (POG = .57) ROLL!
