In Response To: Chicago Point Poll #24 (Daniel Murphy)

I understand that bridge is quite difficult. Previously, I always felt that backgammon required more skill than poker. Recently, while further studying no limit poker, I am not sure. The inexact nature of poker is proving to be quite difficult for me. Knowing the best backgammon move by review was an easier way to become a capable backgammon player. I am not sure that I can achieve the same skill level in NL poker as I have in backgammon. Thus, for me perhaps poker is more difficult and requires skill that are very demanding for me. While backgammon is an easier game to learn for me. This is simply personal. I don't read people well. I do not see shades of gray very clearly. Thus, the convergent logic of backgammon serves me better than the required divergent thought process of NL poker.

As a backgammon player, I do not like making this admission that poker for me may be more difficult.
