Try rolling it some more. Maybe your play will come out on top eventually
Two things. First, you clearly don't understand how it works. Once the variance is so low your next best option isn't to roll it out more so my play comes out on top, but with different settings. Next I would of course try a 3 ply/4 ply rollout, if that didn't work I'd move on to 4 ply/4 ply, you get the gist.
Secondly, do you feel in general that when someone rolls something out so much they're wasting time?
However, I will keep on running in these situations when up in the match rather than exposing another blot.
But again, that's not what you did. You did not run out because of the score, you ran out because you thought it was the right play in general. I think you'd study the position and convert to the dark side of making the other play in general since it is much more likely to be correct at any given score.
