Gus Hansen wins a big bridge Pro am

Speaking of bridge, poker and gammon, Gus Hansen just won a big Pro Am in Copenhagen with his partner Tom Hanlon.

Considering that the amateur plays a much bigger role in bridge than in backgammon, this is a remarkable result for Gus who received just 5 weeks of intensive practice prior to the pro-am. Some of the best players in the world participated in the pro-am.

For me Gus is a genious and the most talented gamer in the world by a wide margin. (no, I am not in love with him. :-))
