They Laughed at my Backgame defense

I am trying to discern the cause of his laughter. Your play against the back game seems to be classically implemented as taught to me by Robertie in Backgammon for Serious Players. Your opponent was certainly not laughing at the end of this game.
I may disagree with your play of position 5 where I would have slotted the 9 point. I am not sure that you did this.
In position 6, I would have played 8/4. Your opponent's board is strong enough to no longer attempt a perfect six prime.
I would clear the 8 point in position 7.
However, from what I can surmise, you played this appropriately except possibly from the positions that I cited. Where did this game occur?
