Chicago Point Poll #24

Poker: 100:1 underdog.
Backgammon: 5:1 underdog, given a rating difference of 250 according to my fibs rating, assuming Gus Hanson will play with 2200 on FIBS.
Backgammon and Poker are the very same: you are betting on an uncertain outcome with imperfect information. But at Backgammon, you will see everything, what will lead to the betting decision. In Poker, you will see only a little, and only a part of the moves from the master. In Poker (aka Hold'em) there is a lot of math and memorizing needed, Backgammon is more pattern recognicion. Even as a non math i can survive some matches.
So Poker with Gus Hanson is russian roulette with six loaded chambers, backgammon one chamber empty. Survival in Backgammon is not realistic, but possible. Poker would be the inevitable death.
