And then there's myself, I guess part of the old guard since I think I was playing before Stick was born (been playing T's for 35 years) who'd actually like to see even faster time controls.

I'd be happy with 2/10 or even 2/8 if using the Meyer Dice Tube or 2/10 or 2/9 if playing by my proposal that dice that land flat on top of checkers or split board are not cocked.

That being said, I'd be happy with 2/10 with the current rules. However, I do fear this would make things too difficult for some older players and especially those who cannot move so quickly. However, we have some septagenarians who much prefer to play with a clock. Therefore..

While I wish MFIC would use 2/12 I have absolutely no issues with his 2/13. I also have no issues with Rob's 2+2/12 (two minutes/match added to normal 2/12)used in Pgh last year, but again prefer 2/12.

It remains my belief that BG is intended to by played quickly. It is much more fun for me when BG is played quickly. It is also much more fun for me to know that I won't have to start a match at 12:30 AM and play again at 9:30 in the morning bcuz a couple of turtles held up the bracket.

The procedure of using a clock and one set of dice are much to be preferred by me, and much more fun that the "old method" with two sets of dice.

I realize that Stick and I sound like endless loops here with our clock promotion, but ABT events need to be finished quickly.

I also wish to see MUCH more speed gammon in major events. ie something like 1/8 with my relaxed cocked dice rules.
