In Response To: "count players' achievements, not their failures" (rew)

Look at current standings in USBGF, when players are sorted by Elo.

With no offense to anybody - are those "top Elo" players better than let's say John O'Hagan, who is ranked 126th by Elo?

I'm not saying tennis-like point system is perfect, but in my opinion it would increase tournament attendances. (At least for those players that are interested in their ratings)
